Peter Griffin is the founding manager of the Science Media Centre, an independent organisation set up by the Royal Society of New Zealand with the aim of providing resources and support to journalists who are writing about science and technology.

Peter is the former Technology Editor of the New Zealand Herald, the Herald’s resident tech blogger and a columnist for the Herald on Sunday. He was won several Qantas Media Awards for technology reporting and feature writing.

He holds a journalism degree from Auckland University of Technology and a Masters degree in creative writing from Victoria University (Institute of Modern Letters).

Peter lives in Wellington, New Zealand where he writes plays and screenplays in his spare time.
